Joe Gatt's Food & Cocktails

Food was excellent my steak was perfect salad was great. The blueberry ale was very good. The reason I only gave 4 instead of 5 stars was it took a while after we got seated to order our drinks it took a while to get our drinks then we orderd took a while to get our salad and a while to get main course waitress was very nice and polite did offer free dessert or drink for the long wait it was busy in thier defence. They have daily specials posted clearly. I will definately be back based on just how superb the food was. Prices are a little high but fair for quality and portions. Highly recommend but if its busy you might have to wait. Over all its a nice place for a couple to go for drinks and a great meal

It's good. It's better than average, but excels at nothing. Four stars is generous; three undeservingly mean-spirited.

It's hard to call Joe Gatt's anything more than it is: a refuge for middle-aged, grey-haired professionals away from the impersonal hub-bub of Rochester's trendier, louder venues. It offers a solid, well-enough executed, but not overly ambitious, menu; a bar stocked with the bourbon and scotch names (and ages) your dad or grandfather would ask for; and a decent enough atmosphere which comes off like a well-appointed clubhouse for the aforementioned Silver Hair Society.

Pro Tip: Try it for a date night as a friendly alternative to the noisy, trendy obvious choices in town.

We went here for the first time today and it was incredible! We ordered the gnocchi, pepperoni pizza and beef on salt - every item was so delicious. Cooked perfectly! To top it off, they have salt bread! Incredible! Our waitress (Natalia) was so sweet and worked really hard! She was prompt and kept checking in on us. We also finished with the lava cake which was also delicious!! 10/10 would recommend!

Outstanding food and service. We had pizza and if you like thin crust pizza Joe Gatts is a must. If you don't want pizza then there's plenty of other options. It was a busy Saturday night and our service was still excellent. The bar is very nice also and a great place to stop for drinks. We will definitely be returning.
