“Nice environment. Food was good. Portion sizes were fantastic. Prices were great. Service was a little slow. Had to wait a while for our meal.”

“My wife and I went for Sunday brunch and had an amazing meal. Far too many excellent menu options, but that's not a bad thing. Crepes were delicate and tasty, coffee was terrific, and they somehow even made the scrambled eggs taste special. Highly recommend it.”

“Seems like a decent place for breakfast, but not a top choice. Menu has very limited options. Wanted to order one of their hot sandwiches, but that wasn’t even available. I ended up ordering an egg salad sandwich, which is unusual for me to order at a restaurant. I’d have to say it was quite good.”

“The restaurant was wheelchair accessible. You must enter the bottom level, side entrance. Normally it is locked; someone has to climb the stairs in the front to tell the hostess that you need to enter the first floor. The first floor is smaller but not as crowded as the main (second floor) and has outdoor as well as indoor seating. You can view the Erie Canel from the inside. There is a restroom on the first floor. The only handicap space is on the right-hand side of the building (viewed from the street). Schoen Place in the evening usually has a shortage of parking places. If you are able to park and get in, the food is good and served in large quantities. I saw many people leaving carrying boxes of leftovers!”

“Love this place. Got a large pizza with pepperoni, well done. Why only 3 stars. It needs to be air conditioned. Could also do with a fountain drink machine. Otherwise the wait staff was friendly and even brought out the pizza and plates for us.”

“I organized a networking event there a couple months ago. It was extremely easy to work with the staff, they so nice and helpful. Everyone at the vent raved about the food. Will definitely be back for dinner and cocktails, and more networking events.”

“What a gem! The best gyro I've had in days! They have excellent vegetarian options for that hippie family member ???? If you see the photos I'm posting, the food is partially eaten because it was so good! The spiced feta and olive oil fries are just crazy. Their baklava chocolate ice cream should be covered by obscenity laws. It's a joyous sinful treat!”

“This is the best example of fine dining that I have experienced in Rochester, NY. The flavor and texture combinations that the chef created for us was really unique and unlike anything that I had ever tried before. The service was timely, attentive, and comfortable. I would highly recommend The Kitchen to anyone looking for a special place to come and have an experience with a significant other or a small group of friends or family.”

“My first time there. Large warehouse like setting. Soup, sandwiches, smoothies and baked goods. Wait time for food was reasonable. Employees were polite and helpful. I had a grilled vegetable sandwich. Large and filling. Small parking lot. There is a large lot across State Street.”

“Tried it for the first time today. We were seated pretty quickly. My girlfriend had the lemon ricotta pancakes, I had the ham and Gruyere omelet with potatoes and artisan toast. My girlfriend really liked her pancakes (and I did too, from the bites I stole) but felt the compote was a little too sour. My omelet was delicious, and paired really well with the potatoes. I wish the potatoes had had a touch more flavor, but a little salt helped. The toast was really good! Our waitress was very friendly and sweet, and checked in on us several times. I felt very welcomed by her. Compared to the last restaurant that was in this spot we feel this is a huge step up. I do hope they consider dinner service. We will definitely return.”
