Elmwood Inn

It was alright, I guess. Pretty pricey for what it was, and a bunch of the food was overcooked. It was still good, better than most chain restaurants by a hefty margin, but not somewhere I would seek out. Especially since there are several better restaurants a stones throw away in any given direction. The menu was uninspired, it didn't feel like anything there was unique in any way, and ultimately it just kinda felt like a slightly better Applebee's.

The drinks were good, though.

Lobster bisque was wonderful, as usual! But that Grilled cheese special with spinach, artichoke hearts, and garlic butter on sourdough was truly exceptional. Mike did a great job and always a joy to see Marilyn (she was tending bar this evening).

Great selection of beers to choose from. Always get attentive service from the staff. Not the largest selection of food on the menu but always fresh and tasty. Conveniently located with ample parking. Love supporting a local proprietor.

Wings are better than Anchor Bar, and blue cheese dressing is very chunky and cheesy! Onion soup is very good. Jenn is a great server.

Large salads with blue cheese or feta are not as good as they used to be; there is much less cheese on them. I always have to ask for extra cheese to match what used to be on them. Gazpacho doesn't have much flavor or zest to it.

The atmosphere is very relaxing and inviting. The servers are always available to assist you and get you everything you need for a fantastic meal. The food is ALWAYS fresh and delicious, regardless of what you order. TVs are all over the room to provide entertainment and game days fun. Do not miss out on a fantastic dining experience!!! :)
