Great dive, good specials good prices, pool table, ping pong, and darts. I go in tuesday nights for the comedy open mic, always an enjoyable event with 2 great alternating hosts.
Went there for a comedy night one Thursday and had a blast. there was a whole separate room dedicated to a stand-up comedy show and I really enjoyed all the comedians.
Friendly staff. Patrons are welcoming. Awesome time
Great entertainment! Yet the bar staff \ Women~ only cater to the men for tips. Therefore, a female ordering a drink has to be loud and on the rude side to get a drink!
Firehouse Saloon is a local pub and yet so much more. You can enjoy chilling out with the locals or step into the side room and enjoy open mic comedy night. Firehouse Saloon features some really funny Comedians from Rochester and Beyond. It's a semi-professional venue where comedians from the region perform with an open venue and a lot of laughter. They have a lot of beers on tap and there's not a lot of waiting to get a drink. If you're looking for a free night of laughter and fun I totally recommend stopping in for their Open Mic nights. If you're looking for a local pub to hang out that's low-key with great beers that's also great for a general Hangout. I love the support and active involvement of the crowd there was the open mic comedy night. I have visited several venues concerning open mic comedy and this one seems to be the liveliest so far. I recommend a meal first because I really didn't see any food or menu. I do suggest visiting here especially when they have events because it's a unique place with a very specific performance room. I do recommend you check out the stand-up comedy in Rochester and from what I can tell the firehouse is the real big hitters.
