Vern’s Restaurant

Highly recommended! Delicious food, great cocktail menu, and beautiful restaurant. We were impressed with the pizza which was woodfired and topped with a wonderful herb sauce. The staff was really helpful and friendly too. Indoor seating gives you access to the wonderful decoration, but I would opt for sitting outside, they have seating in front and out back. Overall a great experience.

Vern's is a nice little addition to the Swan Family of bars and restaurants. I enjoyed the atmosphere, although the place is a bit small and clustered. The cocktails are exquisite and very original. As a craft cocktail bartender I can appreciate a nice drink. We ordered their version of Garlic Bread and it tasted great. We were taken care of Alex at the bar, John Swan himself at the bar, and Jensen was our server once we grabbed a table. The place is aesthetically pleasing and having the option to sit outside on nice days definitely helps with decor and the overall mood of the visit. I would recommend Vern's to anyone who is on Park Ave and is looking for a great cocktail and some tasty appetizers.

P.S. I couldn't help but notice that I was the only POC in the establishment. Employee, customer or otherwise. As this place creates a name for itself and grows I'd like to see that change.

Went here this evening for dinner, and most definitely plan to come back in the future! Overall, it had a great atmosphere, super friendly staff and amazing food.

The staff was super friendly from the moment we walked in! Greeted us immediately when we walked in and gave us a menu to peek at while we waited for a table to open up. Our waiter was extremely friendly and very helpful throughout our stay! At this point they didn't have decaf coffee or tea in stock, so our waiter ran to a nearby restaurant to grab tea for the woman seated next to us - so they are certainly willing to go above and beyond for their guests!

As for the food, that was definitely the highlight of the experience! I got the Seeded Fried Fish and it was fantastic. The fish was well done, the veggies/pickles on the side were an excellent touch and all went together so well. In addition, we also ordered the Flour City Bread that was toasted and drizzled with (if I remember correctly) olive oil, sprinkled with rosemary and came with a side of butter and roasted garlic. We topped it off with a slice of their Chocolate Espresso Torte and it was a great end to a great meal.

If you are thinking about going here, I would certainly give it a try! I know I will be back there again soon.

Pretty stellar place. You can tell a lot of love and energy has gone into this sweet little restaurant. Fine drinks, great atmosphere, and rad staff. Can’t wait for them to fully open up and try the full menu.
