“Awesome dinner tonight at the Genesee Brew House. Had the Potato Chip Tenders with BBQ, followed by the Pork Schnitzel. The Bourbon Barrel Bock beer was so good that I bought a growler to take some home. Wonderful time, and in a packed house, service was great. No trouble hearing at our table for 10! Finished off the evening on the roof overlooking High Falls. Oh, what a night.”

“My go to Chinese since I was a kid! My favorite dish is the simple chicken wing with pork fried rice and load it with their boss sauce on top. I also like their chicken with garlic sauce, pepper steak, and seafood delight!Not in the best of neighborhood. It has gotten it better over the years though.Friendly owner and workers. For the same cost of a combo from a fast food restaurants, I'll take this any day.”

“I tried fish tacos they were good! The fish was well seasoned and I had an option of choosing my toppings & the type of fish which was a surprise. I chose one Haddock & one whitting as it was afternoon and I wanted something not too light or heavy considering I had to finish my work day. The cafe offers breakfast all day & I plan on going back for the fish & grits. I would recommend this cafe!”

“The atmosphere is made up of just a few chairs and small waiting area, I think this may be the only thing I have to say that I'd change. The food was amazing and I'm very surprised this cuisine surpassed my expectations by far. The woman taking my order took it and answered any questions I had without getting annoyed. The food was huge portions of what I had ordered. I REALLY recommend this restaurant if you have a few minutes to spare. I was told the wait was about 20 minutes and when I came back i realized it is because they make your food fresh by order. The man in the back told me to enjoy as he bagged the food, and then off i went. The Mac and cheese and yams are absolutely delicious. I ordered the shrimp dinner which was sauteed with peppers and onions and put on a bed of rice. Everything was absolutely remarkable. Thank you, and I will revisit again.”

“Rooney's is a hidden gem in the city! The atmosphere was cozy and relaxing. Our meals were some of the best we have ever had! The calamari was cooked perfectly and nicely seasoned. “Food was delicious except pizza was not hot when served and was a little soggy in the middle. Still edible. Not worth making an issue. And I have to say, the size of the salads went down drastically from when they were on the west side of town. Restaurant itself is bigger than west side and was easier to have a conversation with your date. There is outside seating. Small parking lot but plenty of parking on street. Staff was friendly and attentive. All in all, a nice experience. Will go again.”
