“One of the best burgers in Rochester, New York. An easy shoe-in for a top five list. Where the Winfield Grill really excels is in value for money. The food is very good at reasonable prices, making this east-side establishment a easy favorite pick. Add to it a solid list of twenty some beers on draft and it's a great place for a burger and a beer. The only downside is it's spiraling-to-nowhere parking lot which leaves visitors trying to make eight-point turns to turn around while new arrivals further pen them in. Pro Tip: During busy times find street parking elsewhere. And the children's grilled cheese sandwich has no right being as good as it is.”

Four stars instead of five because there just wasn’t enough spice or heat (except the cowboy candy with the jalapeños). The salsa was sweet and a couple of the tacos could use more flavor. Also, a cut of lime to squeeze over everything and some bottles of hot sauce on the tables would have helped the flavor profiles overall. Still very good and worth a trip!”

“My wife and I were welcomed by the owner with a smile and kind words. The restaurant is counter service and cash only with an ATM inside. We were short on cash but the owner had several options for us so it worked out. We ordered the jerk chicken/ stewed chicken with two sides and rice. A good lunch for two people was the medium size. The food was very good. The jerk chicken had been cooked that day on a charcoal grill you could smell around the block. The stewed chicken, cabbage, rice and green beans were good, too. We ate inside after a five minute wait. The restaurant is an old 19th Ward building with architectural adornments on the ceiling and leaded glass in the windows. Laid back, friendly atmosphere with large windows to watch the street, I was loving it. After our meal we made plans to return soon. Thanks for a great lunch”

The food that I had was delicious but when asked about other options even the waitress said that it was "just okay" with a look of order something other than that in her eye. The inside was nothing special, just a typical diner. Outside parking is limited. This is a cash only place with no ATM. The nearest ATM is in the next building over in a convenient store. The price on the food was very reasonable though. For a lunch for 3 it was about $24.”

“My friend and I stopped in for lunch. It was a beautiful day, so we took advantage of their outdoor seating. We were the only ones seated outside so it was very relaxing. Service was fast and friendly. My friend and I both had a cup of the bacon & lentil soup, and shared the chicken sriracha pizza, both specials of the day.
