No I can't believe this place closed! This is the worst news. I loved this place. They had the absolute BEST seafood I've ever had in my entire life and I've been to Block Island and grew up on City Island which is known for it's seafood. I'm so sad that this place closed. It was the place My Dad and I would frequent often, though circumstances lately had prevented us from going. End of an era sadly.
Luv, luv, LUV this place! I had heard about Arties over the years and finally went with my family for my birthday. We definitely should've ordered apps (and will next time--especially for the kids) because the food is cooked to order and took a little while to come. But it was heavenly! Fresh and light--even the fried food. Not at all greasy or heavy. Kid friendly and fun--just a perfect time!
The food is amazing! Everything is so fresh! The decoration is so cute. I love tgis place. I come there all the way from Fresh Meadows, Queens
I read a lot of good things about this place online, and thought I'd drive there from Brooklyn to see if it is indeed that good. In my opinion, it is even better than good. This place is a seafood market and a restaurant so you can either go there to buy the freshest seafood or you can eat it there. As you drive there, the place is not very big, and is a little hard to spot.
People at the restaurant are very friendly , they briefly tell you about their place, and then describe what the specials are. We decided to try as many dishes as possible, and we pretty much liked them all. Lobster bisque and grilled calamari are very good, tuna tartar is great, and broiled whole red snapper, blackened Chilean sea bass and swordfish are spectacular. Yes, their dinnerware is plastic, but you go to such places to have great food with the freshest ingredients so plastic doesn't ruin anything.
What you should know is this is a CASH-only place, but on the positive side, they are BYOB. Two thumbs up. I'll be definitely visiting this place again and again in the future. I'm glad I found it.
A quality fresh fish market with reasonable prices with a seafood restaurant.
Service and food served in the restaurant are outstanding.
Not a large noisy place.
BYOB!
Note: Cash Only. No plastic.
You will not be disappointed.
