The food is delicious but average... Nothing spectacular... The counter people are always pleasant but the prices are ridiculous... The average price of a doubles is $4.00 ... Everywhere else it is $1.00...
A small curry goat is $12.00... Elsewhere it is about $7.00
There are other Caribbean/Trinidadian restaurants that serve way better food for half the price... Try Singh's Restaurant in Richmond Hills for truly authentic Trinidadian food... - Ashton Ramlogan
Miss B hosted my husband and I one afternoon before we headed off to a movie for a rare date night. We didn’t realize we needed reservations, but Chef B took us into her “home” and treated us like family. When we realized it may be a tight time frame to eat and get to movies, we explained to Chef B we would likely have to take our food to go.... well Chef B asked what time our movie started and she got us our food and drinks in record time! And I don’t know how because everything tasted AMAZING!! Like she had been cooking it for hours. What a delightful experience for my husband and I. Chef B is a blessing to our neighborhood. We left feeling like we had just been with family. And the portions?!?! We were so full and were still able to take food home with us. I wish I could visit Chef B every day! We can’t wait to go back! And we will make sure to make reservations this time! Thank you Chef B!!
For the first time I tried the pan-seared Red Snapper, it was delicious, and prepared with love. My second visit I tried the doubles with cod- fish and other sauces.. delicious!!!!. The Staff is very professional and committed to great customer service....will definitely return here for more good eats!
I must say I came across this restaurant strolling around and I must say that I made the right pit stop. I asked for the best dish and thankfully the Pan Seared Snapper was the dish suggested. The fish was made to order and I must say I did not leave any scraps. The taste was exquisite. The seasoning penetrated the fish to the point the sauce was just an added bonus. Do yourself a favor and judge for yourself. Hopefully I’m able to visit again before my vacation ends. Thank you again for the service, hospitality and taste bud party!
