On the whole, the food is quite good. Once in a while you'll encounter a dish that's comparatively bland but almost everything I've tried has been tasty. The panang curry in particular is great.
The food here is wondrous. Some dishes can take longer to cook but more often than not, those are the ones that are worth the wait. I recommend the Duck Basil, it is a family favorite. The gem of Great Neck!
One of the more refined Thai dining options on Long Island. Definitely the best Thai option in Great Neck by far, as their food is very authentic Thai. Wild Ginger and Laverne are pretenders when it comes to Thai food. Tasty food, authentic taste, friendly staff, nice decor. You'll like Krung Tep. If you want to try them out, go during lunch and try out their best selling items at lunch menu prices. Only reason I can't give 5 stars is that their curries at $12.00+ (they are a bit stingy with the rice too) and their soups at $7.00 is a bit steep for the little bowls that you get.
Wow! I was blown away by this place. It was recommended by a friend, and well worth the trip. You can taste the quality of the ingredients and great care was taken in the preparation. I usually judge a Thai restaurant by their Tom Ka Gai, and they did not disappoint. It was purposely left mild, and the server brought over the hot sauce for me to add the heat as I saw fit. Great move! I like my soup spicy, but that might not be for everyone, so I was impressed with that. I also tried the Duck Pad Thai, which was delicious. The duck was flavored and cooked perfectly. The server brought over the dried Thai Chile powder to top my dish when he saw my reaction with the soup. Great Thai Iced Tea as well. Overall, well worth the price, which is a bit high for Thai food, typically. Great service and experience. Definitely worth the detour off the LIE.
Food here was fantastic. Very fresh and tasty. Staff was also very friendly and refilling water quickly. Food could've come out a little faster though and the smell from the kitchen bleeds into the small restaurant but not a big deal
