Basil Express

Very slow service, seems understaffed. While the pad Thai and pineapple coconut rice both tasted good, the texture was off (dry and mushy). Tom Ka soup was excellent.

I ordered the shrimp and broccoli with garlic sauce and white rice. This is the best Chinese food that I’ve had in years. The food is really good and fresh tasting. It reminds me of the Chinese food from back in the day that was really good. I would definitely
Recommend them.

Food: I ordered the Drunken Noodles and Gaeng Panang Curry, both extra spicy.
The curry was a bit overly watery for a Thai curry and I felt it was a little on the flavorless side (there is still a curry taste to it, but it seems a bit diluted). It’s not something I would order again in the near future. Maybe I’ll try it again in a few months to see if the recipe has changed.
However, the Drunken Noodles were fantastic and absolutely delicious. The flavor was what I’d expected out of this dish and the textures were great — I’d order this again!
The chicken in both dishes was cooked nicely.
Also, another plus +++ for Basil Express as they actually did make the dishes with a spicy kick as requested unlike many other restaurants!

Delivery: The food arrived within a reasonable time after placing the order. The delivery person was wearing a mask and kindly respected my request to just leave the food on my doorstep so that we could be distanced properly. There is also a contactless delivery option for online ordering (this isn’t something I tested.)

Overall, I would be more than happy to come back and order the noodles again as well as try lots of other things on Basil Express’s menu. :)

Really quality food for the cheap price point, plus they offer much more than just traditional Chinese takeout.
