Pleasantly surprised and impressed. It's hard to find an authentic Latin cuisine restaurant in the UES. This place nails it on all fronts from food, to music, drinks, and ambiance. Try the sangria, it's the strongest I ever had but the tastiest too! I love it when I see the managers personally involved in the experience of their patrons, the managers/owners here are hands on and attentive, which means they really care about the success of their business and the enjoyment of their customers. Definitely coming back for years to come.

This looks flashy. Looks pretty. Especially at night. My fiancée and I really wanted to try it out after walking past it a few dozen times.

But then we went and really didn't enjoy the overall experience. The servers were awesome. But the food was really pricey for things that we ultimately didn't enjoy. It seems to be a fun place for drinks but I really left this place unsatisfied after getting the bill. We tried several things and didn't really love any of it.

When we walked in to La Pulperia the atmosphere was really good, there were people having drinks and bites at the bar and people that were having dinner at the tables. The staff greeted us very friendly and helped us to our table. We were there for dinner, I chose the Paco Fish Ribs and I was super happy with my decision, I never had fish served like that. It was soft and super tasteful and the rice that came with it was really good combination. When you’re there you should definitely try the cocktails they serve, my favourite is the Upper East Side Lady it doesn’t only look good but taste really good as well. Can’t wait to go back there.

Went here on a whim for my birthday dinner which was delicious. The staff was great from the waiters, bartenders and the managers. We had such a good time that we ended up staying for drinks at the bar and dancing to the great song selection of the DJ. We will definitely be back.

I've been to this location several times and usually am very pleased with the food and service. My last visit this past week was a little sub-par compared to what I am use to. As usual the guacamole was smooth but not overly creamy and the chips were not oily and crispy. The empanadas had the right dough to filling ratio and was also tasty. However the side of spinach mac & cheese lacked flavor. The cheese sauce was creamy but definitely need to be kicked up a notch. The melted cheese and truffle bread was okay but the burnt the cheese around the edges so you couldn't really dip the bread in it as it was hard. The Sangria was okay, not as strong as I would like and also lacked bits of fruit but it did the job. The ambience was a bit loud BUT it was also after work and is a great place to come and enjoy while having a drink. It was also extremely busy so I would recommend a reservation before going.
