Violin Empanadas

I couldn’t find the place.

I shutter to think of how I would feel if I went to this location and their truck wasn't there ~ that's how good their empanadas are. And... the their "yucca rellenos" are just the treat of all treats. Nice guy, clean truck, great product, I hope they stay there for yrs. to come.

this food truck serves Dominican empanadas. there's a variety of different empanadas from pizza to shrimp to chicken to chicken & cheese to beef...and more! each empanada is $2 and there seems to be a set amount made each day, so if they run out of a flavor during the day or evening, you'll need to come back the next day,

i've had a few of the empanadas and i really like the pizza empanada. the empanadas themselves aren't huge or small. they are grab-n-go snacks. they are fried. and there are sauces in tiny containers, you can take like a flavored mayo, hot sauce, etc.

the owner is friendly. he eagerly feeds the folks on Delancey with tasty home-style empanada from the DR (Dominican Republic). they aren't fancy or gigantic, but they are tasty and hit the spot when you don't want dollar pizza but do want a on-the-go bite to eat.
