Taste Chinese

Taste Chinese Restaurant is exactly what you'd expect and want should you stumble upon it. Their General Tso's is among the best I've had. You can ask for dishes with varying levels of spice. This is great for me, considering I love mine extra hot. Taste has all the classics / staples and then some. I really appreciate that they are super close to a metro station I typically use. The service is decent, food is always prepared by the time I arrive, but still hot. The service is great even though I've had some of my friends say they struggled when ordering over the phone. The food is all made to order, so you're never getting anything stale. I definitely would not say this place is upscale or even the best Chinese in NYC - but it's always gotten the job done at a reasonable price.

Food is good/has room for improvement and better than this place called China Red on Chambers St. But I'm only giving them 3 stars because they have a habit of taking the phone off the hook I'm assuming when they get busy. I can't order for pick up or delivery if you have the phone off the hook hence also losing future customers.
