Unique atmosphere, with character and vibe that keeps you there, makes you want to come back.

Drinks are strong but without refinement and elegance that one would want in a place such as this.

Food is well prepared, tasty, borderline abundant, but again not quite there as far as elegance.

Paper straws are a nice touch actually.

Service can be better as far as friendliness and accuracy in filling the order, as well as timing.

    Atmosphere 5+

Food and its presentation solid 4

    Drinks / staff / service 3+

The drinks (not pictured) were delicious and strong. Two Hurricanes was perfect! The ambiance is dope and really evokes a NOLA vibe. The food was incredible. I'm not a lover of mac n cheese, but I can honestly say it's probably the best I've ever had. The BBQ cajun shrimp was killer. The crab cakes were solid but the dressing was the star of the dish. The Brussels were incredible and the crawfish hush puppies were yummy. The service was wonderful. I can't wait to return.

Ate here for lunch today. The burger (with cheddar and slab bacon) was one of the best I've had in NYC in a long time. It comes with salad *and* french fries which is nice (and today they offered a soup or a small beer as a freebie special with any burger or salad). The salad was great. The fries were good too and my companions liked them, however, mine were not nearly hot enough. I ordered the burger medium as I usually do in restaurants, expecting that it would be a little less than medium and that worked as I expected. Food took longer than I would've liked to arrive at lunch. The waitress happily substituted a soda for each of us instead of the beer since we weren't drinking at lunch.

Pricey, but a visually comforting decor makes you want to relax here for a while. I dislike bright lights at night, so I appreciate the mellow, yellow lighting (it's understated without being so dark you can't see) and the homey feel.

Service is sufficiently attentive without being pushy. The bar is front and center and seems to offer better seating options than the tables. There are some booths, though, for groups and those wishing to dine in comfort. They have a wide enough selection for drinkers and a decent menu for diners. What I had tasted pretty good.

I made a reservation but was stuck in the subway and they were accommodating to us showing up late. The food was delicious and the mimosas were truly bottomless. They have a vast brunch menu with lots of unique selections. They also provide you with hot sauces that are spicy to accompany the food.
