(October 17, 2018, 5:27 pm)A nice little place in Harlem, with really great food and delicious beverages. I was pleasantly surprised with a good sized portion of beef suqaar with a side of yellow rice spiced with notes of cinnamon and topped with sultanas. The drinks were served in little Mason style jars and were pulled with ice, perfect for an unusually warm summer day. An excellent place to recharge!

(September 28, 2018, 9:13 pm)*Update: Returned to Safari Restaurant...found many improvements. STILL provided quality customer service. The Food is the best i had and a while. The only East African restaurant my wife and I found in New York. If you are looking to taste some new but yet delicious, give Safari Restaurant a try.

(August 22, 2018, 1:07 pm)Unique Experience. Safari is a small restaurant on what has become a restaurant row on West 116th street. This was my first visit and taste of Somali food and it was delicious. Wish my goat dish had more sauce but the flavor was excellent. Very friendly service and acceptable wait time for food. Visit and enjoy this unique experience.
