Sushi Yasaka

Great value for the quality. No frills ambiance but not gross (ie you could take a date here). Gets quite busy, reservations are recommended and they deliver in the neighborhood. Simple but well executed pieces of sushi, good gyoza (texture seems like it's fresh made but who knows) and tempura if you want a bit more than sushi.

Very good cuts of fish for a reasonable price. The lunch specials are a steal, but you better get there early.

Great food. Had dinner on Jan 21, 19, and the sashimi dinner entree was amazing and the fish really fresh. Their sweet shrimp sushi and uni (sea urchin) was also amazing. Service was also great. Staff were friendly and attentive.

This restaurant have the best sushi I’ve ever had. Reasonably priced. Downside is the small space and packed. Definitely recommend making reservation before going.

I have to say this is arguably the best sushi I've had on the upper west side. The prices were quite reasonable and the service was standard, but the fish itself was very high quality and evidently fresh. I would definitely recommend checking out their omakasr option as well but it's hard to go wrong with nearly anything on the menu.
