Amazing speakeasy hidden in the Japanese restaurant. Staff were so courteous in getting us a table. Their cocktails taste absolutely delicious - you can't even taste the alcohol.
Overall, amazing vibes, fun venue, and great staff and cocktails. They really care about the customers.
This is an incredible speakeasy in the city. However, the line is always too long and the service outside is not exactly warm. Great for a date or intimate catch-up with friends.
The food and cocktails deserve more ambiance and comfortable seating. I could have settled in had that been the case.
I recommend the Papaya and Friends cocktail - very nice combination of sweet enough with hints of cilantro and hot pepper. My niece had the chilled Lobster tail, decent value for the price and we'll presented.
Right now they have no indoor seating and the location just off third on Stuyvesant is a little tired. That said I like the value / price mark for quality of drinks and appetizers and will probably go back.
This is a hidden wonder. Good ambiance (felt like I was in the movie ' Enter the dragon'), Japanese bartenders were exceptional!
Hostess needs to chill a bit, she was more like from the movie itself, I was really scared to ask her for anything. This place does not take reservations. Keeping the door open with people waiting in line (inside) for upwards of 30 mins kills the mood.
At the end it's all worth it!
