    Very hospitable owner Garry. The food was freshly cooked and delicious. The prices are very good for Upper Westside of Manhattan. Highly recommend this Indian restaurant.

    Love this place. Delicious, tasty, well-prepared. I would go so far as to say the food is sophisticated. It’s a bit more expensive than other Indian restaurants in the neighborhood, but worth it. It has some regional dishes that are not common in these parts. Nice to dine in, and they do a fine delivery, too. It’s never crowded, but it should be. Just try Ashoka — you won’t be sorry. Oh, right, and if you ask for spicy, you better know what you’re doing — they take that seriously.

    Seriously, asked for spicy and arrived so spicy couldn't eat. Took it all to go and actually added about 5 lb of vegetables to dishes and it was still too hot. Now that's outrageous and we love spicy Indian food. In other words don't ask for spicy here! Service great though!
