Luigi is great! Carlos is is very nice. Great service, great food. They were able to accommodate us-- I was able tovorder dishes without cheese. My go to dishes are the arugula & pear salad, and Spaghetti alla pomodoro. Even the tiramisu smells like Italy. Simple yet delicious...every time! Grazie Luigi!
I’ve been here a few times now and I recommend it to everyone I know. This place is an absolute gem. The owners of the restaurant will personally seat you at one of the few tables they have here. My parents are from Genoa and this food makes me extremely nostalgic for their cooking. The potato gnocchi are perfectly tender and the bolognese is the closest to my Nonnos that I’ve ever tasted. It is priced fairly and it completely unpretentious. Thank you for an amazing meal!
Delicious with fast service! Portions are just right!
Best place on the UWS. The owner, Luigi, will personally seat you at the small restaurant and serve you with a smile. The food is simple, light and fresh. Everything is good, but I recommend the eggplant rigatoni or the cannelloni. The sandwiches for lunch are also a well kept secret.
The restaurant is BYOB which makes it even a better value. I’ve personally seen the owner walk with guests to the local wine shop (West Side Wines) and help choose the wine pairing. A truly unique experience that shouldn’t be missed. No frills, just good local food.
