Dropped by for a quick lunch since this was right next to our hotel. Lots of authentic West African food. They have toned down the heat for Western palate but the food tastes great nevertheless. They offer a wide variety of meats - chicken, lamb, beef, fish. I enjoyed the jolof rice. Limited options in main course for vegetarians. Decent dine-in space but it's the quality of food that stood out for me.
Great selection of chicken, goats, beef, fish, curry, veggies. You pick the food and pay by weight. Very convenient. They even have microwave to heat the food if you like it piping hot. I will definitely come back.
Found this amazing place walking around Manhattan. Food is buffet and seats are available. Friendly ladies who will explain to you what's available. Lots of meats and vegetables. I'm Malay/Southeast Asian so this is my first time tasting African/Senegalese food and I wasn't disappointed. Absolutely delicious food.
Makanan Halal kat sini mesti cuba kalau sampai New York, support tempat ni. Tak pedas, tapi sedap. Bawak je chilli sauce. 😁 Makan pakai timbang, 1lb=USD7.99.
This place has absolutely authentic african food. You can tell because everyone inside is african, and my girlfriend and I were the only non africans in there. The food spoke for itself and was absolutely delicious.
The place is a buffet style establishment where you pay per pound for mixed food (7.99/lb) and you serve whatever you want. They have a wide variety of meats and rices that were all delicious. I got around 2 pounds of food and was going to explode by the end. It was all absolutely delicious and I definitely recommend everyone to try it at least once.
Also they only accept card if you spend at least 7.99, so be wary.
2/11/22. Great opportunity to try west African food, but no labels. Didn't know what it was! There was no distinctive flavors, everything tasted the same. I had to ask what was what! I like the rice and okra soup and there was a fried round bread I liked.
