Blue Smoke

Visited on Sat I believe. This place has an awesome feel to it.

Got there near six, it wasn't packed at all. I've had nothing but great experiences here and will keep coming back. Food and atmosphere reminds me of Atlanta.

I craved for a barbecue and found this place. There's a lot of people here and understand why. They served the amazing foods and provide great service! The barbecue is fantastic! Ribs are tender and the sauce is sweet, i love it! Staffs are super friendly and well-trained. The restaurant is spacious and the ambiance are perfect! I recommend this place and refer to my friends!

I saw a Facebook video about this restaurant a couple years back and immediately decided I had to eat there. Only problem is that I live in Texas. About a month ago I had a work trip that took me to DC and while driving to DC I remembered Blue Smoke. I watched the Facebook video multiple times and I literally drove the 300 miles from DC to NYC just to eat here. The Alabama wings were awesome. It was so worth the wait just to eat there. I told the Manager on duty my story about being from Texas and literally deviating my trip over 600 miles round trip just to get a order of the wings. The Manager went into the back and made me a small sampling tray and literally put 1 piece of everything on it so I got to try everything. The only thing I didn’t get was the cornbread madeleines and the Blue-cheese and bacon dip with the homemade chips, both of which were on my bucket list for Blue Smoke. Bottom line is had I known the food was even better than the video made it out to be, I would have flown in from Texas the day after watching that video just to gorge on the best meal. Ever. The best part was because of the pandemic they were only accepting credit cards and the problem is that I don’t believe in plastic and don’t even have a check card. I deal strictly in cash. The manager was so nice she took my cash and put my meal on her personal credit card. In closing, every chance I get I will change my course and drive hundreds of miles out of the way just to eat there. Perfect!

Now I know it's a hassle because this place closes early cause they run out of food, but keep trying. Its worth it. I've been going to this place since they opened. I absolutely love their food. The ribs are smoky and tender. The sauce is mild and sweet. The sides are fabulous and the brisket... melt in your mouth fantastic.
