The service was fast and the server was friendly. I got the French onion soup which was great. My friend got the burger and loved it. I heard the desserts were amazing. Will be back!!
The ambiance, the atmosphere the NYC spirit makes this institution very comfortable. Even with outdoor seating the charm of the place is simply delightful. The whole staff are just warm and very caring. I had the plant based burger that I wasn't crazy about but will go back to try more things because it's simply cafe cluny
This is absolutely my favorite restaurant in New York. It’s funny because every time I come here I say to myself “wow this is overpriced” but somehow overpriced seems like just the right price for cafe cluny. It’s a neighborhood institution and the kind of place you take a 3rd date. Be prepared to sit on top of the table next to you, be served by staff that is friendly but clearly would rather be acting, and always wonder how you spent $125 for 2 people, but believe me my friends, it’s worth it!!
Quiet at breakfast and late lunch. Crazy-crowded from 7:30 on at dinner. Good French bistro food. Excellent service. Great prix fixe 3-course dinner deal from 5:30-6:30--be sure to make a reservation.
Covid Update: Recently expanded menu brings a W. Village favorite to the top of my go-to list for delicious food and warm service. They've done an excellent job with outside dining seating.
Our beloved go-to spot in the West Village- incredibly charming atmosphere- especially in the evening, on a quiet corner along the old cobblestone of W 12th street. Staff are all helpful and knowledgeable- with their matching striped French Breton shirts adding to the charms. The food and drinks are perfect. Wonderful NY Strip and fries with garlic butter. Pan Roasted Faroe Island Salmon is also amazing w/ the assortment of incredibly seasoned and fresh tomatoes and veggies adding rich color and flavor. The Rosé selection was spot on for a summer dinner. At night the warmth and glow of the hanging lights along the street and outside tables are magical, as is the inside lighting in the evening (when things open again indoors). Seating was safely spread out with plexiglass partitions between tables. Enjoy!
