amazing food!! every single dish felt like an even better experience than the last! we ordered the ceviche and yuca for starters, the duck leg and tuna steak for mains. the plum sauce for the duck absolutely killed it!! for dessert we had the olive cake which was divine. wonderful drinks and excellent service. such a great date night spot!!

Let me start by saying 5 stars doesn't even begin to do this place justice. The service is absolutely incredible, they are friendly, attentive and really add to the experience. The wine list is second to none, I was blown away at how diverse and well thought out the list was. Finally the food, everything we ate was absolutely phenomenal, from the appetizers through dessert, it was one of the most delicious meals we have ever had. Do yourself a favor and get yourself a reservation here as soon as you can, you won't be disappointed!

Also, as a wheelchair user I have to mention the disability initiative for this restaurant. At most restaurants, they simply try to make it accessible, Contento goes above and beyond and shows that inclusivity is in their bones. Not only was it incredibly accessible, but I felt fully welcome and they were excited to have me. This place is special and I hope it is a model for the service industry moving forward!

    Come happy, leave Contento!!

Great dining experience, paired with unparalleled warm and friendly service that make you feel at home.

We enjoyed the Salmon Tiradito, Short Ribs w/ Udon and Pato con Arroz. Ending on a sweet note, with their signature Corn Cake (sweet and salty) - addicting combination.

Can’t wait to join them again.

The interior design is 100% accessible and I commend them for providing such an experience in NY.

The place was amazing and the food was just a complete experience! We eat everything… by the way the bread with the butter it is unbelievably. We started with the octopus, fallow by casaba, then the pork belly, the duck, and to finish we had the short ribs, my friend had a delicious cocktail with mescal each was unique and delicious, I had Virgin cocktail 🍸 and it was fantastic.

Had a wonderful dining experience at Contento, from the moment we walked in to the beautifully appointed dining space to the warm greeting by the manager (owner? Not sure), to the wonderful food and service.

It was a special occasion for us, and the experience was memorable and most certainly enhanced the total meal.

The wine list was deep, and a welcome diversion for another visit, but interspersed amongst the selections were short blurbs highlighting accessibility for handicapped individuals. A note also offered special utensils for those who may need them. This nod towards social inclusion was a welcome touch, and one I hope more restaurants embrace.

Our bartender was hospitable, personable, and attentive, and the drinks were delicious.

We also had marvelous, soft, quinoa biscuits (maybe the highlight) with piloncillo butter, cracking these open yielded a buttery steamy interior.

Regular ceviche and scallop ceviche were both outstanding, and both enhanced with generous portions of Uni (15$). Octopus with a pungent, acidic black chimichurri was tender, toothsome, and the perfect vessel for that excellent and unique chimi.

Badger flame beets with smoked goat gouda were a nice reprieve from the high notes of the ceviche and chimi, and the gouda brought some nice smoke and depth.

Entrees were short rib over udon and pork katsu. The pork katsu was mine, and quite a large portion, with a spicy mayo, and pickled daikon. Fun bites to build for sure. The short ribs had a hint of smoke, and were exceedingly tender. A nice match to the upon, although I wanted a bit more acidity to offset the richness of the peanut sauce. Still delicious.

Dessert was an olive oil cake with cherries, and nice sweet way to end a fantastic meal. And thanks and kudos to the manager for playing the song from dirty dancing, time of my life, for the celebration of mine and my wives 2 year wedding anniversary. We left with a great memory and smile on our face. Part and parcel, a wonderful experience from door to door.
