Best Chinese traditional-boiled dumplings (Northern Dish, not soup dumplings) in Manhattan. Taste just like home-made with very fresh and good ingredients.
Came twice since soft opening and loved everything. And 鲅鱼 is my favorite.
A cozy dumpling spot!
You can enjoy your dumping with some cocktail and wine.
All the dumpling is fresh made daily
However the most impressive item I had is truffle shrimp toast! Make sure you order that!
Very tasty dumplings, like home made. Nothing against Vanessa or Mimi Cheng, the dumplings here were more elegant. $10 for 6 felt a little pricey, dumplings were not so big, but restaurant prices are soaring in general so can’t blame them alone. Flavors are unique and more subtle, skin was the right thickness and had great texture. We got multiple orders of each flavor. I can probably eat 5 orders by myself. The beef one was boring, all the other flavors were great. Mapo tofu was also amazing. Hope they introduce more variety in the future and would be nice to have a few more appetizers.
Fancy decors and well designed interiors. So artistic that I cannot image this is a dumpling shop.
The food is tasty. I highly recommend the fish dumplings. As their slogan says, it is so fresh and comes alive. Crispy popcorn chicken is worthy trying. They add basil and lime leaves in it.
I was greatly impressed by their signature cocktails as well. I tried two and both were exceptional (unfortunately I forgot their names). They added some special flavors and ingredients into it which made it innovative. I believe I cannot find any similar cocktails in other places. It is an ideal place for New Yorkers to get a bit tipsy after a busy workday for sure.
It seems that they are still in soft open phase. I cannot wait to explore their full menu next time.
