This place is so good. It lives under the basement of a mall underneath the Manhattan Bridge in Chinatown but wow, what a hidden gem
Best wonton soup in New York City.
The place exists in the basement of a very empty mall ... the place has a very dirty feel to it ... but the restaurant in the basement has a proud *A* from the NYC department of inspection for restaurants .... very inexpensive prices for very traditional Chinese fast food, my favorites are their wonton soup and peanut noodles ... they also have very decent boiled dumplings ... and stir fried mee fun ...
Great place to stop by for a bite to eat. Steamed buns are $4 for 8, $3 for 8 steamed dumplings. Can't beat these prices, and they make them all themselves. The food is always great. They have a variety of other soups and noodles as well. Two people can have an entire meal here for $15 easily. This place is usually frequented by the local Chinese residents. If you want a taste of what Chinese people in Chinatown are eating, check this place out.
Party at Xinyidong Restaurant and other parties are very satisfying and grateful
