Manhattan Halal Restaurant

Look, 3 stars isn’t the end of the world for a place like this. The food is ok. It’s not great and it’s not good, but it is ok. That’s what I expected, so I’m not dinging 2 stars for the food.

The service was bad. C’mon man! Look at the pics. The only people in there were your buddies that you clearly had time to chat with but you never once acknowledged me. I stood there trying to order while you ignored me. Take an online customer service class or something. It’s not difficult.

You didn’t have the today’s special that was on the board outside and you didn’t have the today’s special advertised inside either and they weren’t even the same! Good grief! Get your act together or the competition in NYC will leave you far behind. I’m sure you’re feeling the pain when rent is due. Pay attention and take this as a learning opportunity. Best of luck.

Had dinner with friends. Their service was awesome and Masum was very accommodating. Will be back definitely!

Great food and absolutely loved the Mango Lassi. Great services and cost-effective prices.
Love the decoration and place

A newly opened restaurant, they are doing well, can improve a lot.
Decoration is good, the taste the food was good to me, but it will might taste different to others.
As a new restaurant, the are one of the best, but they can definitely improve the food quality and customer service.
I will check them out and change my rating to 5 stars based upon how much they improve.

We came here because it had 5.0 stars but clearly that rating is boosted by friends and relatives rating this new restaurant. Having said that, I hope they will do a great job improving their quality based on some of the feedback:

The lentils were not properly cooked, the food was not properly kept warm so before serving they were microwaving it. There was no Chai. The spices and oil used were too heavy even for many other Indian restaurants.
