The Grotto Pizzeria

Wow. One of the best pizza sauces in the area. Seems like a weird thing to call out for praise except not really. You'd be surprised how many slice joints can't get this basic building block right.

As soon as you enter the place, you could very well assume there is no dine-in option but they do have one inside. It can get pretty crowded here. The tables and chairs are a little close to each other given the space restriction but all of this can be forgiven for the food! Lip smacking pizzas. Don't forget to try the classic mushroom and onions. It was amazing

Our party of 5 went to the Grotto Pizzeria for lunch. We each had a different item, including both pizza slices and various sandwiches. Everything was delicious! Reasonably large portions. There is a room in the back for seating which was a bit cramped because it was full. All of the staff was very friendly and courteous. Prices very reasonable for NYC. Would highly recommend.

Best Gluten Free Pizza! My wife had the individual gluten free pizza and loved it! I got 2 regular slices (I was very keen and had a bit before the photo!) Both really nice, especially the bacon, pepperoni and jalapeno. The gluten free was made fresh and there is a small searing area in the back of the restaurant. What a great place!

I used to live in NYC and now I live in FL. I must attest, Grotto's pizza i the best tasting, most memorable pizza I've eve had in my life. Nothing ever compared to Grotto's pizza and I don't think anything ever will.

The Taste: It's been well over 25 years since I last had a slice of Grotto Pizza. However, I can still remember the freshness of the tomatoes, the way the cheese melts on he pizza and the flavors mix so well and perfect together. The sauce on the pizza is so tasty and so fresh, it's amazing! I highly recommend You visit Grotto Pizza anytime You're in the city next.
