The Sherwood Inn

Our lunch was great. Service was above average. Only problem use the men's room by the bar and it smells very strongly of urine needs to be cleaned a little better

We had lunch on the porch with open windows so we enjoyed a breeze off the lake. Celery soup was sublime and wedge salad was crisp, chilled with a generous amount of blue cheese. Chocolate sundae and creme brulee were also spot on. And the prices are so reasonable. Bravo!

Very nice, greeters as we entered. Great setting on the front porch. There were fresh cut flowers on each table & and of course linens and silverware. The Mother's Day buffet was listed at $40.00 each. All the items were very well presented and the variety was great in number. Beautiful fresh fruits and cheeses with crackers and pita bread. Lamb, beef, honey ham and turkey or chicken.( I can't remember, as there were so many foods). Tea, coffee and great desert. All delicious. We have been coming to the Sherwood Inn for many years and it a very beautiful building over looking, Skanelatles Lake. Our bill came as Veal Oscar(2 @ $45.00) with $7.20 tax. We questioned if we had been given the wrong bill? We were told," it's a funny story", computer error. We said we had seen the buffet was $40.00 each for the two of us, which would be $80.00 plus tax. We were told, we were correct, and $11.20 was removed from our bill. It is to bad this type of error occurred.

Great setting and very good food. I don't think we've ever been disappointed with our experiences. We do always ask for a "window seat" as it's great to look out at the lake. Don't forget to stop at the Patisserie behind. It's delicious and the stretch bread there is awesome; and also on Sherwood's menu I might add.

30 people. 90th birthday party. Perfect!!
Our own room. 2 of the best waitresses. Our every wish was granted. Delicious food served in a good and timely manner. Exactly what we ordered, hot and ready to eat including prime rib cooked to taste. Cake was cut and served then boxed up for each of us to take home. We couldn't have asked for anything more.
