    Food is great, but the wait caused by all the hype offsets that. You can easily wait for an hour outside. It's what I'd call a success disaster.

    The Cavalier Room has Jazz on Wednesday evenings now. The jazz schedule organized by the Central New York Jazz Society assures you that you'll be pleased by piano jazz, made special by a new vocalist each week. Sit around the Cavalier Room and be a part of the scene with a cocktail or a glass of wine. Sit around the elegant lobby and gaze up at chandeliers as you listen. Ponder why the lobby always delights with the scent of vanilla. Just one more reason to visit the Marriott Hotel Syracuse. Shop jewelry at Collela's. Cheer on the Orange at Shaugnessey's. Sip a wine from the Finger Lakes at Eleven Waters. Soon, coffee up at Cafe Kubal. Or just read the paper in the lobby and pretend to be the hotel detective.
