food needs to be warmer. great service
Food was good, service was awesome, and atmosphere was great.
Whenever I'm in the mood for some good comfort food and a peaceful environment I head here. I live Indian food and they have so many types of delicious options. Whether you're vegan, vegetarian, like mild food, or like to turn the spice up, they have something for you. I have friends from India who I used to share meals with sometimes and now I live far away from them and miss them, so when I eat here it reminds me of my friends from India and they're good cooking. Their meat here is always very tender too and deliciously seasoned. I love the lunch buffet where I can try all kinds of dishes and the dinner menu is very satisfying too. Today, I got the Pepper Chicken curry which comes with classic Indian Basmati rice, and side of the day (which I ate up pretty fast haha), and some whole wheat Nan which I'm also 3/4 of the way through. Just couldn't wait to take the picture. I like spicy dishes and the pepper chicken in rich curry sauce hits the spot. The people here are also very kind. Happy to explain the menu to me when I want to know more about a dish and just very friendly to talk to as well. I live close by and this has become a regular spot for me. Not badly priced either. I think you get the most bang for your buck with the lunch buffet, but dinner prices are very reasonable as well. I definitely recommend giving them a try!
Good place. Friendly service and very tasty food. Some items are mild, some spicy; they have a moderate variety, though I would have liked more desert options. Place is a bit poorly kept in some areas, but nothing was terribly bad or made it seem unpalatable when I went. Will go again. :)
We have tried Indian cuisine all over NY and NJ and we were very impressed by India House. The Cauliflower Ginger soup may have been the best soup we ever had. The chicken Tikka Masala managed to have tender chicken and slightly crunchy, yet seared veggies. The rice was amazing and plentiful. My husband loved his lamb dish with cumin, curry, ginger and cashews. Honestly enough food for 4 people and a very personable waiter. It was quiet and not crowded, which initially alarmed us. Fear not. Go to India house and enjoy your meal.
