Nice
very good restaurant to try something new
This place was absolutely fantastic! The food is so good, and the hot pot set up is really fun for friends!
I recommend the fatty beef and lamb, the mushrooms and chrysanthemums (for veggies), and the kelp!
The only reason I'm not giving this place 5 stars is because the hot pot stove was a little weak, at least at our table. We turned up the temperature almost all the way and it still took a while to boil. But again, that could've just been a problem with our specific table!
This place has everything. It's a one stop shop. You want a snack. They have it. You want desserts, they have it. You want spicy, you got it. You want beverages, they have it. It's a great food court.
Among all the hot pot restaurants in Flushing, I do enjoy Hot Pot House for a few reasons. First of all, the wait here is not terrible. I have little patience to wait over 30 minutes for a table. We got here and were seated right away. Secondly, the staff were very friendly. They were not pushy but they tend to be slow to bring out the food you order. This might be a tactic to slow down your all-you-can-eat speed. Finally, the broth is good and food quality is decent and fresh. One final point is that the all-you-can-eat here is only $19 plus tax and tip, which come out to be about $25.
One funny thing to note is you get a karaoke station right at your table. If you feel like singing while you dine, it is free!
Overall, it is a reliable and decent hot pot place if you don't want to fight over tables or get rushed service.
