This is a hidden gem in Astoria. This tavern is a bit away from the beaten track of famous greek taverns in Astoria, but it nevertheless, the quality of food and service is at par and even better from its bigger competitors. The place is cozy and inviting, and staff is very friendly with great service. The food is amazing with great classic greek appetizer and main dishes. But the mixed grilled meat certainly stands out as a favorite for me. Their house wine is also something worth checking out. There is no desert menu, but they give you a free desert that is just a great finish to a dinner (still can't figure out the name). If in need of great greek food and great and fast service, I always go there. Highly recommend it.
Small cozy place in Astoria, away from the hustle and bustle of ditmars and Steinway. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Food is amazing, very simple and delicious Greek food. We always start with a Greek salad which comes with huge chunks of feta cheese and we also get the spreads to dip our pita bread. Last time we shared the lambchops which were cooked to perfection. This place just makes dining out so easy.
One of the best seafood and fish place in NYC. All the fish and seafood are fresh, you pick whatever you want to eat, you pay and then, you seat. Sardines or shrimp are baked or grilled as you like. The greek salad is also very tasty. The atmosphere is warm and friendly.
Found this place out of googling and Iam glad that we found this gem! First time for us and will NOT be the last time! The staff were very attentive and treated us like family!
Good food and service. This neighborhood has it's share of good Greek food, and this restaurant is no exception. Great tapas, moussaka is a standout, as is anything octopus. I always leave with leftovers and eat them.
