Maybe the best japanese chef and place in queens area.

Most authentic Japanese food ever! Easily accessible by subway. Freshest ingredients. Try once, crave forever!

Takesushi brings its fish in from Japan fresh frequently. The quality is superb as is the presentation and flavor. This place is a gem, I am surprised and grateful to have found it.

If all you care about is properly prepared unbelievably fresh ingredients, service with a smile and pricing that is far lower than other high end sushi restaurants, this place is definitely for you! It's undoubtedly lacking in ambiance and decor but it makes up for that ten-fold with its charm.

First off, read the menu carefully. It can be confusing as to what goes into a set box. Their menu layout is pretty bad. The food however is above par for a Japanese restaurant. This is not only a sushi place with some gyoza thrown in for variety. Even their free starter dishes (never seen this offered in any other Japanese restaurant) are tasty and thought out.
Their fish has actual flavor. Most places, it tastes bland and you know you're eating older fish. Not here. You can taste each individual piece of fish and their rice is not just uncle bens. Their rice is actual sushi rice which changes the experience entirely. Haven't tried their sake as I'm more of a beer drinker but their beers are standard for a Japanese restaurant.
