My dinner was absolutely great! I ordered the fisherman's platter and I had so much food that there are leftovers for another meal even after I shared with my roommate.
I ordered it to go and the guys were very kind. It was a great experience.
My girlfriend and I get the chicken pasta and add mushrooms. The pasta is filled with cheese, the sauce is perfectly thick yet not too thick that you get a stomach ache. The chicken is perfectly seared and not burnt, it has that little crisp on the side, extra flavor. The servings of the food is big and the service is very welcoming and friendly. They make sure everyone is taken care of and is always on top of things. They don't badger you asking if you're ready to leave when in the middle of your meal. It's very spacious as well, the booths are designed so that you can talk and not be heard by everyone in the place. I love this place and am usually there with my girlfriend at least once or twice a month. Always a pleasure dining here.
Awesome original diner tucked in between high rises and the elevated train. It was very busy when we visited and service certainly suffered. At no point did I feel neglected but it would help the over worked servers to have one more person when the rush hits. The food was typical diner comfort food. I had the eggs and corned beef hash. Nothing super special to the taste or the presentation but I was none the less satisfied and would recommend this place to others looking for that classic diner experience. As with everything in this part of town it was a bit pricey. For me and my girlfriend to eat lunch the total came to just shy of $50. During our trip I came to expect everything to be about double the price we pay in our small town in PA, however it did feel just a tad over priced even considering the location. We ate a sit down dinner of duck at a highly rated Chinese restaurant for only $10 more. But for the hometown feel and beautiful diner car it was worth the price for the experience.
Wonderful staff. Great hospitality. Tasty food at very affordable prices. French Toast oh so yummy.... Parking at meters can be difficult. Otherwise a perfect 5 stars.
Great place been going there since 1992. Nice for the family as well a small get together. Get ready to eat there servings are very big. There margaritas are the best. Yes they creep up on you.
Staff always very friendly and nice.
