The chicken appetizer and the beef cold noodle was just so so, the stir fried noodle with chicken was not bad, I might come back again for the stir fried noodle when I am craving for Chinese cuisine again.
Lanzhou Beef Noodles - 8/10
A solid beef noodle soup with great flavor and chewy noodles. Pro Tip: Look under your noodles first. I almost missed the extra beef under the noodles!
Came here to visit our best friend who lives in the neighborhood and he took us here for dinner. I was super pleasantly surprised by their dishes and I can probably come here everyday for dinner if I live here. Here’s what I like:
1) everything is freshly made and the ingredients are fresh - I loved the noodles and the monstrous plate chicken (braised chicken with noodles - very flavorful), and my friend really liked the mutton on the bone (lamp rack meat) - our waitress told us the dish is made fresh daily and lamp is slow cooked for 6hrs
2) fast service - we got our food within a few minutes after we ordered
3) clean and bright - high ceiling with plenty of light, feels nice to sit next to floor to ceiling windows
4) price is very reasonable
We also had fried chicken wings and another veggie dish - everything we had was very delicious, you can’t go wrong with any of their popular/classic dishes
We tried this place on a Friday afternoon for lunch during their soft opening. Walked in to a moderately busy restaurant with plenty of seating. Interiors are minimalistic but fresh, and high ceilings makes the place look very industrial.
Attentive set of staff came to our table right as we were seated, and we ordered a hot appetizer Silky Wide Glass Noodle ($8.50) and Fresh Hand Pulled Noodles - Spicy Oil Spill Noodle ($13.99). We were warned that the Silky Wide Glass Noodle will be spicy - but we could easily handle the spice.
Food overall was absolutely brilliant - one of the best Chinese I've had in the US! Noodles were absolutely fresh - slightly on the chewier side which I like. The Spicy Oil Spill Noodle was delicious and had a very distinct taste to it (a good one!). Bok Choy was cooked to perfection, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal.
I hope they keep up their quality and service, both of which were absolutely wonderful during our visit. Highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking to have a very flavorful Chinese meal!
Great food with a relaxed yet aesthetic environment.
We tried the Wood-ear mushroom salad, cucumber salad to start. Then, we had the signature beef noodle soup, and braised beef noodle soup- the broth is so flavorful and comforts you instantly.
