This restaurant is my preferable restaurant. Of all restaurants I know I like it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to visit this restaurant. everytime I feel like having a good lunch, this restaurant comes straight to my mind. superb and food and a rich cuisine.courteous staff, and nice vibes. And very important, the cost is reasonable. I recommend this place with no hesitation.

Torn between 3 and 4 stars here. 3 is probably not fair, but there's untapped potential here of what this could be. The food is pretty good. The brisket (which should be perfect, if it's Texas style BBQ) is definitely tasty but could use a little work. There were dry pieces, moist pieces, and plenty of fat. I'd suggest switching to a lean and moist option to give people the option to choose which they prefer and make it easier to keep consistency through the meat.

The sauce options are a pretty big sticking point. While the plum and mustard sauces taste alright (not great), they're just not Texas. I realize this is NY, but it would be great to have a traditional sauce in addition to the different ones.

My last comment on the food is that the sides are really underwhelming. I've had the corn, which is just not appetizing and the pork and beans, which is bland. If they added some better sides, like green beans, corn bread, or baked potatoes and improved the existing sides, it would really add a lot of value to the menu.

The price is another tough spot - it's not cheap. Obviously, this is NY and nothing is cheap, but without the best location and as a new restaurant, the prices are hefty. Deals or lunch specials could help, but I worry about their ability to survive. It was pretty empty for a Friday at lunch time on my most recent visit. I waited a long time for them to open, so I hope they can find a way to drive more traffic!

If you've been to nearby John Brown's Smokehouse then you more or less know what to expect from the food (it's delicious and selection varies day-to-day). The space itself is really where Mothership sets itself apart from John Brown's. The interior is stylish but not huge, with a food counter, a handful of tables, and a bar, but the outside is pretty large with big picnic tables. "Summertime is best spent outdoors with a cold drink and several pounds of meat." Someone said that once probably.
