I visited Nick's about 6 years ago while my flight from JFK was delayed 3 hours. Pizza was amazing, I'd definitely give it 5 stars. Pizza is available in Regular (12inch) and Large (16) inch. Toppings are also available but the Margherita I ordered was more then tasty. I also ordered a bottle of Graffigna Malbec ($20) and the waitress was kind enough to uncork it for me. The outdoor seating is very limited with 3 tables set up to accommodate 4 people at each. That's the only reason for 4 stars, as I had to eat in my car. :)
Guide Tip: JFK airport is 15 minutes away from Nick's and I would highly recommend a stop here for a pizza before your flight or if you have a lengthy delay like I had.
The margarita pizza we had from Nick's tonight was the closest thing we've had to true, authentic, Italian pizza we've had in many, many years. Fresh basil on pizza is such an amazing thing, so little of an ingredient but makes SUCH a huge impact.
The best pizza in Forest Hills! Just tried the Grandma and it was super delicious. Don’t let the size of the pie fool you, it’s really filling. The crust is thicker compared to their traditional pies.
First time getting a pie here and it's delicious. We got the half white and half red pepperoni and mozzarella pie. Pie tasted fresh even after we got home half an hour later. Will definitely be back.
I placed a pick up order of the large pie with 3 toppings and two bottles of the same beer. The order was ready at the scheduled pick-up time. The pizza and toppings tasted fresh and delicious. I forgot the name of the beer but I believe it was an ale. It was light and refreshing. The only issue I had was ordering 3 toppings. It was too much for what the thin crust can handle. The pizza easily fell apart in my hands. I believe that there should only be a limit of one to two toppings per pie.
