I would have given this place more stars and a better review if I haven't came back here. But I did. And boy was it disappointing.
The food was not as good as it used to. Yes, it's spicy. But it's just spicy. Some of the dishes weren't bad. It just wasn't as good as it used to be.
What I do recommend are:
1. Cold sesame noodles
2. Wontons with spicy oil and sesame sauce
Nice to have this food court in the neighborhood for a quick bite. Variety is limited and that is my only concern. It becomes a battle of which stand is most attractive, only to realize that none automatically stand out. I admit, I walk in feeling confused and it takes me a while to decide on a vendor. Still a fan for its proximity to Sky View Mall, affordability, and tasty food (wherever you end up eating).
On a side note, shout out to Mango Mango. I always come here for a sweet and satisfying drink whenever I'm in the neighborhood.
Been here 3 times and very solid. The spicy noodles are delicious as are the tofu dishes. They have a lot of vegetarian dishes including this one that has eggplant and beans. The spicy soup is very good and makes you hunger for more.
Service is not that great but the food is amazing. Will be back for more spicy!!!
If you love HOT and GREAT.... this was recommended by my hotel and didn't disappoint. Steaming soup after a cold walk was placed in front of me quickly. A fresh pot of tea. and then, yes i like spicy.... whew! I could have had a second large beer, but figured i would tough it out for ten more brave bites... definitely starred and will bring many brave friends next time. I would expect you could get not so spicy... but why would you want to? I licked my chapped lips the next morning and a hint of the hot had lingered. A tease til the next time....
btw... I tried eel with vegetables (great veggie choices and eel very well prepared) with perfect dumplings (very hot) as app.
