Update - January 2020, my review below is for when the place was called Michael and Angelos. Since the restaurant changed hands I think their sauce is sweeter (adding sugar?) which is something I do not prefer and maybe using a little less garlic than they used to. The meatball on my pizza wasn't great either. All in all, they might have taken a slip in quality. Still a good pie but missing something? (Original review > May easily be the best "regular pie" in the neighborhood. NYC native saying this.... Lived in the area for nearly 10 years and rarely go 2 weeks without ordering from here. Have had a lot of different delivery guys over the years so "cheese slide" is sometimes a factor. They get very busy during peak hours but mostly get quick service. Give them a shot sometimes.)
Had dinner that this New location on Saturday Jan. 11. Everything was great! Demitris the owner is terrible the chefs are wonderful the food, service ambiance is outstanding. Thank you for making my experience at your restaurant a happy one!!!
I must return and recommend.

Excellent new addition to the neighborhood! Amazing food and even better customer service! Their pizza creations are out of this world. Can’t wait to go back! Highly recommend.
Hey everyone!
I’ll keep it simple today: this place is great! Customer service is pretty solid - I went in for a slice of pizza en ended up getting two, thanks to the guy behind the counter. The pizza was very well done and they have good variety. Price is reasonable and overall it was a great experience.
One piece of feedback I have is the menu is too long and a tad confusing. The place is small for having such a large menu, in my opinion. Also, I’d like to challenge management to make more sustainable choices when it comes to table wear.
Good luck and welcome to the neighborhood! I’m definitely coming back.
I was in Astoria to visit some friends and we decided to try this new pizza place. The food was great! Not too greasy, but not too well done. The owner was very friendly and kind and wanted our opinion on the food. I felt very good vibes and I love that this place is a mom and pop store. There aren’t many of those left in NYC, so make sure to support the cause and enjoy a nice lunch at The Yard!
