Black Parakeetz' Paint, Swig & Sing!

This place is awesome. I surprised my husband for our 23rd anniversary here and we had an awesome time. The owners Naomi and her husband were so friendly and personable.
The intention was to get in and get out because we had another engagement but the entire experience was so wonderful from the instructor, (who was patient, kind and encouraging) to the atmosphere, the friendly owners and the conversation we had long after the session was over that we were late. We did not order food but the drinks were great. I even sang in the Karoke room with the owner, just awesome.
My husband and I are planning another trip there. I told my girlfriends about it and we are planning a girls night.
I highly recommend the Black Parakeetz for date night, fun night, girls night, any night.

I would give them 10 stars if it were possible. My best-friend and I enjoyed a paint and karaoke night. The drinks were delicious- and the food was great! I had an amazing time. The ambience is very attractive- the place has good vibes. Naomi has it going all the way on. She really knows how to make the
experience a memorable one! If you haven't been here you are missing out, and it you have been there, it's time to go back! Looking forward to going back for my birthday

Love Love love this place! I love coming to Nyack to escape the city. Black Parakeetz is a great vibe for date night. My boyfriend and I had a great time. The owners treated us so well and the artist Raquel was super helpful, because I have no clue how to paint, and she explained everything making it easy and fun.

I came here with a couple of girlfriends to celebrate a birthday after a couple of times of rescheduling due to bad weather. A huge thanks to Naomi, the owner, for being so flexible. The owners are super friendly and personable and made us feel welcome. We really enjoyed ourselves. The facility is really beautiful and gives you a relaxing vibe. The instructor was fun and very accommodating. The only reason I don’t give this place 5 stars is because of the food and the painting selection. The food was OK. I ordered truffle fries with Parmesan and I got spicy seasoned fries. I couldn’t taste any truffle oil because the fries were so spicy. Also, the painting for the night was changed without our knowledge which was a little disappointing because we chose that particular paint night for that particular painting. But we had fun and made the best of it. I would just recommend letting customers know ahead of time if you are going to change the type of painting done for the session. Overall though, I enjoyed my experience and will definitely return.

We went to Black Parakeetz on their Grand Opening and had such an amazing time! This is the first place I've ever been where you can paint, sip AND karaoke! We started with the paint and swig. Raquel was our teacher and she made me feel like I could really paint, which I cannot! Very patient, clear with instructions and great energy. We sipped on mimosas and their signature Manhattan made with pomegranate juice that's just delicious.

After that we went into the karaoke room. It's beautiful, spacious, and has great acoustics. The selection of songs is awesome and you can find/add songs to sing straight from your phone! So no more waiting for your friends to give up the song book. While singing, we had some pepperoni pizza and a huge soft pretzel with dip; both were really good.  This is a really fun spot, perfect for a date, girls night out, birthday, retirement party or just to hang out with friends.

We can't wait to go back, try more signature drinks, paint and karaoke some more!
