My Father's House Southern Cuisine, Nyack, NY

My friend and I went there on Saturday just past 5:30pm. we noticed a diverse customer base. I look for things like that specifically. it tells me a lot about a place. we were seated immediately. they brought out the biscuits and omg they were delicious to say the least. I ordered the Chicken and waffles and much to my delight it was home run! My friend ordered the Smothered pork chops. he too was delighted. The atmosphere was serene and comfortable, & the servers all had smiles on their faces. A "CLASS ACT" all around !!I will definitely come back.

We took out food and all I can say is AMAZING! Smothered pork chops were delicious, fried chicken and waffles scrumptious and collard greens didn’t miss a beat. My new favorite spot!

Everything was great. Food was really good. The fried chicken was amazing. The staff was friendly and sweet. They were very welcoming the minute we walked in. I would recommend everyone to go and try it for themselves.

Such a warm cozy restaurant..you feel like you’re dining in a loved ones home. The food is scrumptious. Anything you choose off the menu- you can not go wrong. This is my first encounter with southern cuisine at My Fathers House and I have been here a couple of times since the eatery has opened its doors.
The staff- super sweet and friendly. The food is delicious and is made from the heart. I was able to meet with the head chef and owner/ and I tell you- her love for her craft is reflected in the rich foods created. My faves: hush puppies and fried okra, their savory vegetarian meatloaf, smothered pork chops.
Next visit- definitely going to have their Pecan encrusted Salmon for sure. Their portions are amazing. Definitely a place to eat good food with good people.

This is comfort food at its finest. I had the shrimp and grits, which was fantastic. The wait staff and chef were warm an welcoming. No liquor license quite yet, but I didn't miss it. Highly recommend

We were so excited to try this place and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere was welcoming and the food was delicious! The owners and staff were the sweetest. I love the story behind the restaurant as well. Your father would be so proud! Can’t wait to come back.
