    Great Italian restaurant. I got the warm goat cheese and beat salad- the goat cheese is crispy and tastes so good with the beats and fruit in the salad. I also got the venison sausage and polenta. The sausage showcased the venison perfectly and the polenta was sweet and fried perfectly. The atmosphere was great- I didn’t get to see the restaurant before the renovation but I like the new place. The chef even came out and said hi!

    This restaurant has FANTASTIC food at amazing prices. This is authentic Italian food right in the heart of Rockland County, adjacent to Bergen County. I love this place! I’ve had friends, family and coworkers come here. Enjoy and thank me later.

    Marcello's was once my favorite Suffern restaurant. I'm sorry to say that it has changed and not for the better. It has lost its charm and atmosphere. The food was nowhere near as top notch as it was. The service, that used to bring a fine dining experience, was diner like. It was still good enough for three stars, but memories of Marcello's five star dining will be missed.

    Will definitely return! HIGHLY recommend Vincent as your server and take the time to talk to the ever wonderful manager Nicole! :)

    Pros:
    -expansive and unique menu
    - unique drinks
    - drinks priced on menu
    - good runners were friendly and efficient
    - small plates are a great portion size
    - I LOVE that my server, Vincent, staggered both of my small plate courses so rather than being overwhelmed and overeating I got to enjoy reading and 2 courses.
    - None of the staff looked overwhelmed. I come from a service background and one of my favorite things is when they’re busy - the restaurant was close to full. - and yet your service never wavers and no one is running around like a chicken with their head cut off. They give you time, patience, enthusiasm, and time for suggestions.
    - spot on course suggestions and wonderful enthusiasm when describing the dishes
    - Nicole, the owners daughter/Manager was attentive to all of the guests. Supporting the servers and talking with the guests.
    - free street parking after 4 or 5
    - TVs in the bar so you can follow a sporting event

    Cons:
    - if there were specials, I was never given a menu or them mentioned
    - no outdoor seating
