“Went in yesterday, sat at the bar (which really needed to be wiped down) with for almost ten minutes before I had to stop a busboy to get information about takeout. Then a woman appeared and told me how to do the "do it yourself" service they have. She was very friendly. After I got my meal and went back to pay for it, again, I was ignored at the bar, where there was no bartender. I had to stop one of the waiters that acted like I wasn't there and tell him I needed to pay for the food. The bartender who rang me up was also very friendly though. And the meal was great.”

The staff there is so friendly and I could tell from the atmosphere that not only were the guests happy to be there, (the seats were all taken) the employees were too. My gut is telling me that this will be a local neighborhood spot that people will continue to go to for great food, a great experience, and a smile- at least I will. “Such a warm cozy restaurant..you feel like you’re dining in a loved ones home. The food is scrumptious. Anything you choose off the menu- you can not go wrong. This is my first encounter with southern cuisine at My Fathers House and I have been here a couple of times since the eatery has opened its doors. The staff- super sweet and friendly. The food is delicious and is made from the heart. I was able to meet with the head chef and owner/ and I tell you- her love for her craft is reflected in the rich foods created. My faves: hush puppies and fried okra, their savory vegetarian meatloaf, smothered pork chops. Next visit- definitely going to have their Pecan encrusted Salmon for sure. Their portions are amazing. Definitely a place to eat good food with good people.”
