Friendly's Clifton Park 12065

We have not been to a friendly's in a couple of years since they closed in the Rochester area. We were greeted by a smiling face we believe her name was Peggy. She made us feel very at home do to her friendly smile and caring nature. She was very patient with me because I have to customize everything about my Jim dandy. And it did not disappoint except that bthe bananas were a little under ripe an inedible. Can't wait to come back as we are in the area a couple of times a year.

We stood waiting for a while due to some confusion as to where we were going to be sat. Something to do with somebody's break. Not terrible, but a little off-putting. There were plenty of open tables. Once we sat down, everything was fine. Standard Friendly's experience. Good service, decent food, good ice cream.

Our server Miranda was kind courteous and attentive. Our food however was not as good. Miranda did replace our cold fries with hot ones at our request. However, I felt that it would make her feel bad if we had told her how the rest of our meals truly were. I had the Pub stlye grilled chicken. The broccoli was cold, the chicken was dry and barely warm, and my daughter's kid Mac and cheese was barely cheesy. My New England Clam Chowder was not even lukewarm. She was so nice, I couldn't ruin her pleasantries with how sub par the food was. As a former Friendly's employee of 10 years, I was expecting better. I paid my way through college working for the company and know that I drove the cooks crazy never serving food not hot and presentable.

Staff was very friendly. Service was fast. Food was really good the menu has a nice variety. Brought my niece and the place was very kid friendly. My niece got the kids make your own sundae and she thought it was the greatest thing in the world. Will definitely be back and made the top for bringing the kids to.
