“This restaurant has proved time and time again to be a culinary jewel in what is a city saturated with restaurants. We dine out a lot, and are always impressed with the quality of the food, drinks and service. The frequently changing menu never ceases to impress, with offerings from burgers and duck fat french fries, to beautiful cuts of meat, oysters, mussels, duck, and the list goes on and on. Always perfectly seasoned and filled with beautiful and surprising flavors. Really delicious. If you want a more bar-like dinner, eat in the front room. If you want a neat experience, eat at the chef's bar, or for a quieter evening, dine in the back room. Can't say enough good things!”

“We have come here since the day they have opened. I give it only three stars because even though they have kept the quality of their food up they have out priced themselves for our satisfaction. Their menu has Decreased and the prices have inflated greatly. I feel this may cause them to suffer in the long run. I can’t justify grabbing my child chicken tenders for $16. We did enjoy our visit but it will be our last.”

“It was a great experience eating at Karavalli in Saratoga Springs. The place is very clean, the people are very polite, and of course, the food is really good! The food has the rich flavorful taste of authentic Indian cuisine, without the burning spicy taste. My picky-eater daughter, loves the chicken tandoori, so much! It’s the1st time she ate that much in a buffet restaurant. I definitely recommend this cozy place, for the good people, great food ,and very reasonable price.”

“Love the ambiance of the place. It's one part new and one part old school. They have a great mix of music playing as well as a top notch bar. There are 2 mini shuffleboard tables. Staff were busy but really awesome nice people. Very family friendly. The pizza is a bit expensive but really good. You can tell that it's all fresh ingredients . You had that in with the fact that their ovens are wood fired and you have an awesome pizza. Definitely recommend going to see them.”

“My mom and boss love it . It's a pleasant place to eat, drink and relax. Only complaint is people putting personal items on Adirondack chairs and then not using them, while we are waiting for our table. We returned again for a birthday gathering. The wait staff were attentive and prompt. All six meals served were enjoyed, from pork tacos, burgers, fish and chips, shrimp sandwich, hot dogs and watermelon salad , all in a wonderful lake side setting. Very highly recommended.”

“Gaffney’s is always a great place to hangout socialize, drink and dance. The later it gets the busier it gets and the dance floor is pretty packed. It’s a fun place to meet your friends and the music is always great. The only thing I didn’t like was the men’s restroom line is always long and it always smell of urine in there. They need to do a better job in maintaining their men’s restroom during night hours.”

“The food is delicious and carefully prepared. The bouillabaisse in particular has a sauce that is so rich and tasty, just great. I wish I could give the food 6 stars. Sadly, our experience with the service, is worthy of three stars, hence the 4 star total. Our waiter approached serving our table with the attitude of one who really did not want to be there. Did not crack a smile and did not make us feel as worthy guests. The one thing that put me over the edge was the way dishes were cleared from the table. They were stacked in front of one of us and all the other dishes piled over those with clanging cutlery to follow - just like you would experience in a cheap diner. One other item - there is an extensive menu of specials, which is a nice touch, but with no prices. Really? That's offensive to guests - what are you hiding? Oh, and consider a fence in front of the dumpsters by your front entrance as they don't make for a nice sight. So, when you're serving $32 entrees, please make sure your server provides the service that goes along with those entrees.”

“In town for the Jazz festival we made an advance reservation, a definite must, for the patio area. The outside is great while the inside is a bit noisy. The special salad, bib lettuce with walnuts, bacon and cheese dressing was pricey ($16) and a bit disappointing. The octopus entree was also pricey ($36) and not cooked quite right (mushy), wehad better at many other places. My special of scallops and clams in a spicy red sauce over black squid ink pasta was fantastic! $33 and worth every bite. Service (Justin) was knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. The fresh bread with olive oil was good. Three stars for service and 1 good entree, minus 2 stars for pricey bland salad and octopus.”

“Recently had a surprise 50th wedding anniversary there. Jim and Madison did an 5 star job!!! Food was fresh and delicious. Everyone on the team was cordial and quick. Place was busy and happening and they still made us feel welcome and took great care of us. Again, food and drinks were top notch. I recommend the 534 Bistro for a nice dinner, event, or just getting a couple of drinks.”
