“We were Driving away from the Potsdam food doldrums, with it’s generally poor Service, when we stumbled upon a golden nugget. Although it might be out of sight (it’s not on Main Street next to a campus) but it i should never be out of mind. The timber tavern has great American food. It is worth the short drive, awesome drink specials, great apps, and of course, the attentive and out going service staff made for an unmatched food experience. We never meet the comic genius behind the menu but we enjoyed the diner and show, read the menu closely. We will return to have a cowboy burger with a beer and lament over Zek Elliot ruining my fantasy pool too.”

“On my Birthday...Stopped by here late at night driving from Canada to Vermont, starving and found good reviews on Google. Philly Cheese Steak is my favorite sandwich ever so I went with that. It was the best I've ever had! So creamy and perfectly cooked steak! Then the owner brought out a slice of her homemade peanut butter pie for my birthday! So sweet and amazing, loving hosts! I highly recommend stopping here if you ever drive through upstate New York!”

“Visiting from out of the area. Family member suggested this restaurant for dinner with our party of four. I had the French onion soup appetizer and one of two broiled haddock dinners, a chicken parm, and a shaved steak sandwich. Our server Desiree was quite helpful and offered up several menu options. Though she was busy with other customers she remained attentive to our needs. Look forward to our next visit.”

I don't agree however that the kids kid's menu hot dog is the red hot dogs. In my opinion it should be mentioned at the time of order or listed that way.
