Little Szechuan 小四川

The food was good but the service put us off. My family was seated right away; but when the menu was handed, the server was already expecting us to have our order. It was our first time so we did not know what to get. We felt rushed because the server was just standing next to our table as if rushing us to order. We ended up not browsing through the menu fully. Not sure if we will be back because of that experience alone:(

The first time I went I got the hot pot and it was excellent, I would definitely recommend it. The second time I went I got the squid (it was rubbery) and the whole fried fish (it was covered in 2 inches of tasteless sauce).

A concern that I have is the cleanliness of the establishment. The tables and floors are sticky, the condiment section is open unorganized and had spray cleaner next to it. The window blinds are missing sections. The glasses that they give you for the wine (it's BYO) look filthy but can't be cleaned. The whole place seams kind of dirty.

On the other hand the place is doing great business, on a Sunday at 6:45 every table was taken. I just wish some of the profits would go back into the restaurant because it really has potential.

This is mine and my dad's favorite spot. It's somewhere we always go when I'm out visiting. I cannot describe how fresh, delicious, and well-seasoned the food is here. I doubt there's anything I could order that I wouldn't enjoy. The incredibly diverse menu has actually made me a little more adventurous as I work my way through the dishes. Though, the twice-cooked pork is a favorite of mine.
