Ruvo is reliable for a wonderful italian lunch or dinner...for 2 or for a group. It has been a mainstay in my immediate and extended family's rotation for years - we are in about once a month on average.
The restaurant is cozy, and decorated nicely with classic art work and a rustic wine theme.
The food is great. Specials are well prepared here, and their menu items are solid as well. They have a great $10 lunch deal, and this includes Saturdays which was a nice surprise for my group this past weekend.
Service is friendly and professional. They take the time to acknowledge their regulars. Though I haven't personally ordered much to drink from the bar here, I've been with those who do and their martini's are always snazzy looking. Their wine selection is top notch.
Don't forget to order dessert - you don't want to miss that!
Excellent restaurant. The food, service and atmosphere were great. We really enjoyed it, will be coming back here soon
Great, local location. Great service. great food. Highly recommend.
The cuisine...correction, food offerings were neither good nor bad. The pasta dish I ordered was simply something that could be made by me in my home. Okay, I am a very competent chef. My best customer is myself.
The server was kind and efficient and the decor and the comfort Ruvo exudes is not unlike a library in one of our "Gold Coast" mansions...sans leather bound tomes and leather bound easy chairs as well as old men smoking cigars. In other words: a home-like vibe. Price point for the menu is very reasonable. In summation: I very much like this place and it is my desire to not overlook it in the near future. Many restaurants compete for my attention unawares. Rather, I wish to continue dining here after attending church services nearby and the other times in which the North Shore simply calls my name. Those times suddenly need to be increased because Ruvo beckons me.
Stopped at Ruvo for lunch on our way back from the Vanderbilt Museum, Mansion & Planetarium. It was random but a great choice. The decor is warm, the staff are friendly. The palate, portions, presentation, & price were just right.
