Visiting Oheka Castle is one of my favorite places on Long Island. It's one of the few luxury homes from the Gold Coast era. The castle was restored to its former glory over the years and is considered a private residence since its current owner lives there. It's a 6 diamond hotel. It has a fabulous restaurant which you need to make reservations for way in advance. There's a tour which fills up pretty quickly as well. If you want a fairy tale wedding, this is definitely the place to host your dream wedding. I highly recommend it if you're visiting Long Island.

Had my daughter's Sweet 16 Birthday Party here. Staff was amazing! Had a young lady by the name of Amy put the whole party together for us. We ate outside in the courtyard under the overhang. Everything was perfect. The food....OMG amazingly so good! Had to walk back to the kitchen to thank the chef and tell him how everyone really enjoyed all the appetizers and main course that was served to all the people in the party. From the bartenders, to the waitresses and staff, valet parking attendance and to the owner Gary, who walked around talking to every guest thanking them for coming to his Castle, Thank You for making my daughter's Sweet 16 Birthday Party so special for her!!! Just a great atmosphere with great friendly staff that adds that something special to every guest! I highly recommend this place to all of you!!!

My wife and I celebrated our 15 year wedding anniversary here with our kids. Outdoor seating was available, but slightly in the sun. If you're not in the shade and it's a hot day, it can be a bit uncomfortable. They do have patio umbrellas which was helpful. We ended up moving to a table with shade when it became available. Food was pretty good and the staff was very friendly. The chicken fingers were smothered in somewhat of a jack Daniel's sauce. I loved it, but some kids can be picky so just be aware of that. Love the coloring books they offer to kids which also tells the history of Oheka which was pretty fascinating. The grounds were well kept and it was quiet and pretty peaceful for lunch. Not sure what the dinner atmosphere is like, but if you're looking for a quiet lunch, this would be the place. Parking was available, don't think valet was available for lunch, but the parking section is not far from the restaurant. Miguel was our waiter and he was great. Highly recommend!

If you're a history nerd, you will enjoy Oheka. If you love architecture you will enjoy it as well. The garden and ambience at night are quite enjoyable. The grounds are quiet and moonlit. It's full or classic art if you know your eras and enjoy classic paintings. I would recommend the library nearby the dining hall and going during autumn. Overall the kitchen was very well If you choose correctly on the menu. They have gluten free bread and the wait staff is amazing. My waitress made dining very enjoyable because she was so warm friendly and professional. I appreciated that. Note worthy would be the musician in the dining hall who was a violinist and would read the room to create a flow for the dinner. He was impressive and lovely. I would advise looking around as much as possible to breathe in the true history of the castle. If staying on vacation, huntington village is nearby and also the gold coast.

My husband & I have celebrated a few special occasions here— birthdays, anniversaries, Valentine’s Day and we always have the best stay. Beautiful, grand rooms and site to walk around. We loved the main dining room for breakfast too. We always look forward to our stay here ♥️
